This has been my fav Sandra Hall book thus far, and I have read all of her series. I mistakenly sent it back because I had two copies of the first installment and did not check to see that I was returning the correct ebook, but I will be purchasing this one again. I liked seeing Velvet's powers manifest while maintaining her humanity. In the next installment I would like to see Velvet as a little more secure in her personal relationships because right now everyone else is dictating who, how and when or even if she is allowed to have a personal life, and she is allowing it. This is a good heroine they we see maturing in both her powers as well as her thinking pattern, but as in all of Sandra's books she doesn't seem to concerned with HEA's (THIS DOES NOT IN ANY WAY DETRACT FROM THE STORYLINES, IT IS STILL A GOOD BOOK.)Keep writing and I will keep buying.

There is a good summary to the book above. Velvet is back to kicking butt in this story. She is trying to save her town and everyone is giving her a hard time. Her romantic relationships are being dictated by everyone else because she wants to please those she loves. Wilder seems like a total jerk in this story simply because he tries dictating who Velvet can and cannot be with so he seems a bit controlling. Jerome is still crazy and seems to be getting crazier by the moment. The plot is solid and so is the story line. It seems the author worked out the kinks in this book. The characters are becoming more defined and you see more of their personalities as the story goes on. Overall, a good read. I read this on Unlimited.
